Robert Winks joined up in 1943 after graduating flight training he was posted to England. Posted to the 364th Fighter Squadron part of the 357th Fighter Group. He took in such hazardous missions flying over the Battle Of The Bulge and the Battle of Berlin. One of Winks victories was the ME 262 the feared Luftwaffe Jet of the time. Captain Robert Winks finished the War with 5.5 victories. |
