Nordmann was said to be one of the Luftwaffe's fighter wing's leading personalities. Born in 1915 Nordmann took control of JG 51 after Werner Molders death. Starting his career in the Polish campign, Nordmann went on to be promoted to Gruppen Kommandeur of JG 51. He was awarded the Ritterkreuz in August 1941 for his 31st victory. Nordmann would fly over 800 missions and finished the War with 78 victories. |
