Richard Peterson was born in Minnesota on the 26th of February 1923, he left university to become an aviation cadet in June of 1942, he graduated flight training and was sent to the 364th Fighter Squadron of the 357th fighter Group. Peterson would fly two combat tours with the 357th flying Mustang's throughout. All Peterson's Mustangs were named Hurry Home Honey after the way his Wife signed off her letters to him. Peterson finished the War with 15 victories. |
