ROBERT FOY |
Robert Foy was born in New York in 1916, he entered flight training with the U.S. Army Air Force and graduated on the 20th May 1943. He joined the 363rd Fighter squadron of the 357th Fighter Group at the end of January 1944. Foy would fly two combat tours, scoring 7 of his victories on his first tour. Foy flew two P-51Ds nicknamed Reluctant Rebel and Little Shrimp. Following the War Foy worked for North American aviation it was while he was on an assignment for his firm when he was tragically killed flying a B-25. Major Robert Foy finished the War with 15 victories.
