Walter Oesau |
Walter Oesau reached his 100th victory in the Autumn of 1941, he was awarded the Schwertern to his Ritterkreuz and was banned from flying until 1942. Oesau although banned from flying still took to the skies, when the ban was officially lifted Oesau continued to score mainly four engined 'heavies'. On the 11th of May 1944 he was shot down and killed in operations over France. Oesau's score stood at 130. |
